I began teaching yoga in early 2010 after completing my 200- hour yoga certification through CorePower Yoga. I am fascinated with the human body and the unique beauty of each individual that steps into my class. I have experienced, in my own body, the deeply profound impact that yoga can have on my being as well as the ripples it creates off the mat. After teaching my first class and bearing witness to the incredible beauty and truth that came to light in each yogi as they moved and breathed, I was totally hooked and hungry to infuse yoga into every aspect of my life. Since 2010, I have completed multiple continuing education courses, coached teacher trainings and I am an E-RYT with Yoga Alliance. In June of 2015, I took the leap and left my corporate office job to pursue my hearts dream of teaching yoga full time.
Emily volunteers as a teacher for the non-profit Living Yoga, whose mission is to teach yoga as a tool for personal change to people who would otherwise not have access to it. She has also served as a board member of YWCA Clark County for 6 years. In her free time she enjoys creating on her antique cast iron letterpress with its thousands of tiny letters to arrange by hand; truly a meditative act. Emily also loves running and tagging along with her two young children to explore the world.
