Join Emily Taylor for a 3 part yoga foundations series in the New Year. The goal of this series is for beginner students to walk away with the confidence to attend regularly scheduled classes. In this series we will focus on asana labs in which we break down the alignment and structure of common poses. We will also explore a variety of breath techniques and answer common questions about studio etiquette, such as why we say OM and the meaning behind the word Namaste. Only 8 spots available in this workshop preregister to save your space.

Week one: Will be an introduction to the history of yoga, studio etiquette, breath work and our first asana (pose) lab. Throughout the series we will get on our mats and in our bodies to break down common poses followed by a Q & A session. We will close with a gentle practice to assimilate the information.
 
Week Two: In this second week we will spend most of our time in asana lab. Building the confidence with the fundamental shapes of yoga so that you can explore different types of classes with the understanding of your own structural integrity. We will close with a restoring meditation so that you can walk out feeling blissed!
 
Week Three: For our final session we will answer any unanswered questions and bring everything we’ve learned together in a practice with breath, physical yoga poses, and restorative/seasonal practices to close.
