ANNE O’BRIEN, is a senior teacher of the practice, history and philosophy of yoga in the San Francisco Bay Area. With her roots primarily in the Krishnamacharya lineages, she is committed to interpreting classical traditions for the modern practitioner. Her workshops offer a beautiful blend of precise technique, creativity, intensity, humor, and grace. Anne leads yoga adventures globally, trains teachers in the US and Mexico, is on the Board of Directors of the Iyengar Yoga Institute in San Francisco and is an advocate for the non-profit organization, The Art of Yoga Project. She has been featured in Organic Spa magazine, YogiTimes, the documentary film, YogaWoman and was recently on the cover of Yoga Journal magazine. She is writing a book on the contribution of Western Women to the Modern Practice of yoga. With immense respect for all traditions, Anne bows to the light and wisdom of all her teachers on the yogic path.
