Rosie has been practicing yoga and meditation since 2004. Her practice began as a suggestion from her coach while training for her first L.A. Marathon. After a few years this became so much more than just a form of exercise. Yoga was her only way to find her space for peace and clarity. She uses Yoga as a laboratory to learn integrity, honesty, and discipline.
Rosie completed her teacher training at YogaWorks in Los Angeles and is500hr RYT certified. In 2012 she completed a 200hr Teacher Training with Hala Khouri and Julian Walker at Exhale Center for Sacred Movement in Venice, CA. This training emphasized the importance of mind-body integration through Somatic Psychology, Neuroscience, and Buddhis meditation. Her teaching style incorporates sequences that flow through inversions with attention to the breath, building towards balance and flexibility. Classes are skillfully sequenced to help students find their own space and enjoy their practice.
As a huge advocate of self-healing and a Holistic Health Coach, She writes articles on the importance of holistic nutrition, yoga and meditation. On sunny (and rainy) days she enjoys beautiful nature runs along the riverfront and walking her two Frenchies and Shih tzu named Chewy (short for Chewbacca).
She is currently studying ParaYoga with her teacher Rod Stryker, whichblends the ancient teachings of Tantra, Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and the Yoga Sutras.
