Tami Apland has an innate passion for the art of movement. After 10 years of ballet, she stumbled upon yoga as a teenager and completely fell in love with the way it made her feel. Her dedication and love for the practice compelled her to complete a 200 hour teacher training program in 2008. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Portland from Virginia and began teaching immediately. Tami makes it her mission to inspire and empower others through offering a dynamic and challenging, yet accessible class infused with creativity, a strong emphasis on breath and alignment, and a wide spectrum of music.
Tami’s philosophy is that a regular yoga practice creates an unbreakable bond between the body and mind that builds strength both physically and mentally. Yoga has instilled in her an overall sense of balance, peace and well-being. Her heart’s desire is to share that feeling with everyone she teaches.
Tami is also passionate about nutrition, hiking & snowboarding on Mt Hood, traveling, experimenting with green smoothie recipes and listening to all kinds of music.
