Meghan began practicing yoga in 1999. In yoga, she immediately found a tranquil place to quiet her mind, build muscular strength, encourage mental and physical flexibility, and soften her heart. Upon completing her graduate studies in urban and regional planning, Meghan decided to switch paths to become a yoga teacher. She realized she wanted to share her love for yoga and to work less on a computer.
Meghan has been part of the Yoga Pearl family since 2003 where she has studied Ashtanga, Hatha, Pilates, Vinyasa, and Yin. She attended her first Hatha teacher training at Yoga Pearl with Uma Kleppinger in the fall of 2006 and began teaching right away. During the fall of 2007, Meghan attended a 200 hour Vinyasa teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation with Ganga White and Tracey Rich. Recently, she assisted the Spring 2008 Yoga Pearl teacher training. Meghan’s classes offer a challenging flow, heavily focused on alignment and physiological principles, aimed to synchronize the body, mind and spirit. Meghan’s students continue to teach her to foster compassion, embrace humility, and seek humor on and off the mat.
