Dena arrived from Toronto, Canada three years ago with her husband and four children in tow. She has studied and taught yoga for many years in Toronto and now Portland. She has a background in obstetrics and newborn care as a midwife for 15 years in Toronto. In addition, she has experience as a personal trainer and pilates instructor. These experiences have led her to naturally fuse her love and knowledge of yoga with her knowledge of healthcare, anatomy and physiology resulting in a style of teaching that celebrates both the power and potential of self-study and discovery on and off the mat.
