Dena practiced yoga for 20 years before moving to Portland in 2006 with her family. She has been a midwife for over 20 years and first came to yoga for stress relief and the health benefits. Over time, as her practice and commitment deepened, she began teaching and sharing her passion for the potency and depth of the practice. Once in the US, she began teaching daily classes that inspire a mind body connection by focus and education on alignment, anatomy and breath. Her classes are challenging and athletic, and ask each student to find their individual potential within their current ability. She also specializes in pre and post natal yoga, and yoga for athletes and performance at Nike World Headquarters.
In 2008, she began assisting Tiffany Cruikshank’s 200hr training for Yoga Pearl, and has had the honor of working closely with Tiffany working as her Programs Manager, directing both of Tiffany’s Yoga Medicine’s 200 and 500hr yoga teacher trainings and Retreats.
