Daniel Flynn, 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Licensed Massage Therapist, has been traveling the world and practicing various styles of yoga for over 14 years. He has completed teacher trainings in both India and Portland and blends the two styles of East and West in his classes. Yoga has taught him to be flexible, strong, forgiving, playful, and, above all, grateful for his existence and the opportunity to share this path with others.
The yoga Daniel believes in is transformative, fluid, thought provoking, sometimes difficult, and always uplifting to the spirit. For him it is not just a physical experience of body and breathwork, but a joy-filled approach to living in the world wherein going deeper also means going lighter.
He was first introduced to yoga and meditation while serving in the Peace Corps in the Nepal. He fell in love with the land and people and eventually started a trekking company leading hiking trips to the Himalayas. About this time he began studying Iyengar yoga with Ben Thomas in Los Altos, California. His education continued in India studying traditional Hatha and Vinyasa yoga through Yoga Vidhya Dham’s teacher training center. Daniel went on to teach yoga in Japan in 2006, and in 2008 furthered his education completing a 200 hour teacher training course at the Bhatkishop in Portland, Oregon.
He speaks bits and pieces of six languages and is a trained dancer, a contact dance instructor, a professional singer and guitarist, and loves above all else to share his passion for yoga and personal growth with others.
