There are three things I love most about the practice: 1) weaving ancient wisdom into every breath, 2) exploring the flow of life – in all its ups and downs, and twists and turns, through the asanas, and 3) allowing the sacred to infiltrate the flow.
As I see it, yoga gently, yet powerfully, reminds me who I am… and helps me let go of what I am not. And that is why I practice, and why I have taught for more than two decades.
…Britt’s initial exposure to yoga came in her early twenties as she sought to deepen her understanding of fitness and to self-heal. Her work includes teaching yoga classes, workshops, retreats, and an integrated practice of classical hatha, vinyasa, yoga therapy, and ayurveda.
In her “past life”, Britt earned an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and a Masters Degree in Health Education. Throughout her career, Britt has taught at the university level, conducted mind/body oncology research, directed wellness programs, and studied in India, Southeast Asia and Indonesia with some of the brightest lights in yoga and Ayurveda. Britt weaves her experience in academia and western medicine with the rich and ancient history of yoga and Ayurveda to teach classes, workshops, and retreats to those who are hungry for the practice and its golden tethers to the Original teachings…
