In 2002 I stumbled upon yoga as a means to extend an athletic lifestyle, but found a spiritual and awakening practice that has created a more balanced, patient and humble person. I believe that Power Vinyasa can bridge the body and mind by offering a strong practice that feeds the need for a workout but leaves students with a euphoria that eventually opens their heart. In teaching, I hope to help build that bridge for students through a fun, powerful, and enlightening yoga practice.
I did my initial teacher training with Baron Baptiste in 2004, and continue to deepen my practice and knowledge through guidance from various teachers and styles of yoga. My teaching style is based on a strong technical foundation focused on alignment and physiology mixed with a heavy dose of fun, humility and lightness. My classes cater to both inexperienced and experienced students with many options and approaches to an asana. They are challenging, but have a light, spiritual approach that leaves students with the possibility of taking their practice beyond the physical.
