Daniel Flynn, LMT

Daniel Flynn discovered massage through his love of yoga and movement. He has practiced yoga for over 20 years and began teaching three years ago. He trained as a yoga teachier in India and Portland and went on to study massage at East West College, finding inspiration and studying effect treatments in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Swedish, Thai massage, and facilitated stretching and strengthening exercises. Daniel also offers exercise therapy (often covered by insurance) and private yoga sessions catered to what your body and mind needs to be more fully expressed.

Daniel Flynn primarily utilizes Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release techniques to find and release the deepest layers of tension and pain in the body. Once the tension is released he may also use assisted stretches to help get the muscles and bones aligned properly. Daniel begins and completes each session with a posture assessment focusing on your body alignment and getting you back to living your life.

In his own words: “My intention when I do massage is to release the deepest held tensions in the body. My goal is to reduce tension and get you out of pain so that you can get back to enjoying all the activities that you love to do. My body has been one of my greatest teachers. I am an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast and understand the effects and requirements of using the body to it’s fullest. Along the way I have thrown my back out, injured both shoulders, and a knee or two. I understand the effect that both repetitive strain and traumatic injuries have on the body. My greatest superpowers in life are my sense of humor, joy and gratitude. I look forward to working with you on your continuing journey.
