While all of our classes and teachers want to make you feel at home, comfortable in yourself and in the class, we offer several classes geared specifically to beginning and returning yoga students. Yoga Pearl FAQ’s
When should I arrive?
Please arrive early enough to change and get settled so that class may start on time without disruption; usually about 15 minutes before class starts is a good rule of thumb. If you’re a new student, give yourself a half hour so that you have time to fill out paperwork and familiarize yourself with the studio facilities and amenities.
Can I eat before class?
Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Try not to eat for about two hours before class. If you must eat, something small and nutritious is best.
Do I need a mat?
Yes. Bring your own mat if you have one. Eco-friendly mat rentals are available for $2 (first time free). We also sell a variety of eco-friendly mats in our boutique.
Does Yoga Pearl Have Lockers?
Lockers are provided in the restrooms for your security. Bring your own lock, or you may rent one for $2. We recommend leaving valuables at home.
Where should I park?
Street parking is limited, so please allow extra time to find parking, get checked in, and chang before the posted start time.
A few other notes:
Please do not wear perfumes, oils or other strongly scented body products as many people are sensitive to scents, even natural ones. If you must use personal scent, please apply it after practice.
Please speak softly; this is a shared space with meditation, massage and other healing arts. Enjoy your conversations with friends and teachers, but do so quietly so that others may enjoy their visit, as well.
Please turn your cell phones off when you arrive.
