Restorative Yoga
This is a gentle, therapeutic style of yoga that uses props to support the body and deepen the benefits of the poses. It is a soothing and nurturing practice which promotes conscious relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system.
Insight Meditation

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASSES
Intermediate level classes may be an appropriate class level for students who are newer to yoga, physically fit, and injury free; check with the teacher or the front desk. Newcomers are required to take a minimum of 6 yoga basics and/or vinyasa basics classes either at Yoga Pearl or elsewhere before attending intermediate level classes.
Ashtanga Led Primary and Guided Primary Series
Learn the traditional Primary sequence with attention given to ujjayi breathing, bandhas and drishti. Guided Ashtanga Primary is open to anyone comfortable with looking and doing rather than learning by verbal instruction. Students must have ashtanga or vinyasa yoga experience.
Detox Flow
Inspired by Seane Corn, this class starts with sun salutes then moves through a flow to free your hamstrings, low back and warm your hips for opening. Expect to be challenged as you rinse toxic substances from your body and toxic thoughts from your mind.
Forrest Yoga is an inspiring practice that builds flexibility, intelligence and strength while helping deepen the relationship with your authentic self. It uses heat and vigorous sequences of poses to sweat out toxins and release tension. As you progress, you will learn to safely tailor each pose to work best for you, particularly with physical and emotional injuries. Forrest Yoga challenges you to heal, grow and welcome your own unique spirit home to your body.
Hatha Level II
The Level II Hatha classes focus on in-depth exploration of both yoga fundamentals, as well as more advanced asana, centered around a monthly focus or theme. Enjoy an evolving practice blending a traditional yoga practice with creativity.
Power Vinyasa Yoga
This challenging flowing practice synchronizes movement and breath in a room heated to about 95° to help you “go with the flow”: sculpting a new body, releasing toxins, and quieting the mind.
Vinyasa Yoga
These slower-paced movement-based classes offer creative and unique sequences of poses without heat. Our vinyasa classes are richly infused with classical yoga teachings, detailed alignment, breathing and meditation to calm the mind and open the heart.
Yin & Vinyasa
This class begins with yin yoga to open the hips and spine and to cultivate a morning meditation practice while the mind is clear. The last part of the class includes dynamic movement to loosen the body and energize the mind. This form of “vinyasa” is unlike our regular vinyasa practices in that there is no repetitive sun salutation utlized, and is perfect for those working out shoulder injuries or neck/upper back problems. *Please note: Arrive early. No late entries to this class. Door will be locked when class begins.
Yoga for Athletes
Designed specifically for cyclists to help ease tight hips and hamstrings, loosen neck and shoulders and strengthen core and lower back. Both dynamic and restorative poses will be utilized to therapeutically “tune-up” the cyclist’s or endurance athlete’s body.
ADVANCED CLASSES
Ashtanga Led Intermediate
This advanced class presents the Intermediate series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system with emphasis on the traditional vinyasa flow and breath quality. Completion of and competency with the Primary series is a prerequisite for attendance.
Power Vinyasa Level II
Delve into more advanced asana and variations in this challenging class which follows a format similar to Power Vinyasa but with less heat.
