Ayurveda :: Lucy Eigen, LMT, CST, RYT-500
Ayurveda (“science of life”) is a profound system of body-mind medicine that teaches us about natural living and yogic health. The roots of Ayurveda are deep and are a dominant healthcare paradigm in India. It is part of an ancient spiritual heritage of humanity and a sister science to Yoga that contains much knowledge and wisdom about health, disease, everyday living and spiritual practice.
As a wholistic science, Ayurveda reminds us that health is a dynamic and balanced integration of our environment, body, mind and spirit. Body therapies are an integral part of Ayurveda’s healing philosophy and help us live longer, healthier, happier lives that are more in tune with the universe and with spiritual consciousness.
As an intuitive healer, Lucy engages her spiritual nature during the Ayurvedic treatments to offer the client the opportunity to connect with a deeper sense of self that will support and foster healing on many levels. Lucy draws upon her training and experience as a craniosacral therapist, 500-hour registered yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist to offer professional treatments that can have profound effects on the physical and subtle body systems.
Lucy has been engaged in the healing arts as a teacher and practitioner for 15 years. She is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Oregon and an advanced craniosacral practitioner trained through the Upledger Institute, holds a Masters in Transpersonal Studies and received her 500-hour yoga teacher training credentials from Mt. Madonna Center in Watsonville, CA. Lucy received her Ayurvedic training through private instruction with Sharmila Shankar, whose degrees include a degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bangalore, India. Lucy remains a student of the vast system of Ayurveda and plans to continue her studies to become an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor.
